Breeding and crossbreeding have been used in the history of civilization since the Neolithic, when the agricultural revolution led to domestication. This process included the fauna, when man began to cultivate crops that subsequently served to sustain the inhabitants. As the population grew, so did the need to feed it. By modifying the genetic information of crops or animals, man has created hybrid representatives that have not undergone natural selection but human intervention. Today, humanity is facing problems that are the result of man's manipulation of nature.
The Carolina Reaper project is named after the chilli pepper of the same name, which was introduced in 2012 and is a concrete example of a modified crop. By combining its fragments with the human one, I wanted to achieve the impression that man becomes a victim of his own creation.
