The artist created a series of images of her childhood friend, whose appearance she tried to capture in many versions of sketched faces, some of which resemble (posthumous) masks. The author deliberately denied herself the possibility of "verifying" the real appearance of her friend in photographs or in social media. The portraits are thus an imprint of her own memory.
