The series of paintings and objects is dedicated to the theme of the Chinese dragon. The symbol of the dragon has different meanings across cultures and carries with it an interesting dualism. While in the East it is associated with nobility, in the West it is more a symbol of fire and destruction. The dragon, like all ancient symbols, has lost its charge as it has moved into the realms of decoration and pop culture. Today, Chinese dragons can be found in oriental restaurants in the form of plaster statuettes painted gold. Combined technique, 190x50x3 cm.
