In his bachelor's thesis, Martin Kuchta dealt with the design of the Škoda ForFuture tram, in cooperation with Škoda Transportation a.s. The main benefit of the final design proposal is undoubtedly the world-unique technical solution for connecting individual vehicles, from which other conceptual innovations are derived, such as chassis platforms, drive and power supply, autonomous operation, etc. The body of the vehicle is stylistically clean and elegant, even though the author had to deal with the need to maintain the perpendicular faces of the cars, allowing them to add to each other. The overall expression of the tram is attractive and refined, and thanks to the variable personalized lighting, it has a visually friendly and at the same time serious effect on the passengers. The design also includes a high-quality and functional interior design of the tram, which is clear and user-friendly. The author's work must be appreciated by his honest and lasting interest in the chosen issue, respecting the methodology of design work with emphasis on the smallest detail, intensive efforts to find visually and technically optimal and innovative solutions, as well as his communication skills, thanks to which he was able to implement his design in cooperation with a leading Czech manufacturer. The proposed concept of the Škoda ForFuture tram is unique in the context of current world production and has the potential for its further development and subsequent series production in the future.
