In his diploma thesis, Daniel Szöllősi dealt with the design of an interior luminaire designed in cooperation with PRECIOSA - LUSTRY a.s. The final form of the Gemma luminaire, which consists of two design variants differing in mutually different technical solutions and the shape of the diffuser, is elegant and visually attractive. The cultivated design of the lampshade with a diffuser decorated with a characteristic diamond pattern gently refers to the long tradition of PRECIOSA, a leading Czech manufacturer of cut crystal. Thanks to the designed two independent light sources and multifunctional control, the luminaire enables variable direct and indirect lighting in a number of performance and chromatic combinations. The design proposal is processed at a professional level, the construction solution is tightened to the smallest functional details, including the production of individual components, their assembly and completion to the replacement of sources and installation of the luminaire.
