In his diploma thesis, Jan Kovalovský dealt with the design of a single-seat gyroscope, which uses autorotation thanks to rotating bearing surfaces. Thanks to the rotor, which is rotated only by the onslaught of air, the rotorcraft can fly in the speed range of 30 - 180 km / h. Gyro One follows the concept of modern rotorcraft with a thruster. It develops the aerodynamics of propellers outside the swirling air and thus increases the efficiency of the propulsion. Movement on the ground is provided by small electric motors in the wheels, which increases comfort and safety. The cab is designed so that the sides can be removed. The author of the project demonstrates the ability to understand the complex issues of designing an aircraft.
