The Pairs in Squares project, which focused on the studio's participation in the Tokyo Design Week 2015 world design show in Japan, presented in a playful way a collection of products intended for the preparation of traditional Czech dishes and a typically Czech dining culture. The main source of inspiration for the entire exhibition was the social game Pexeso, which in 2015 celebrated its 50th anniversary. Pexeso is based on the traditional Japanese game Kai Awase, which naturally connects Czech and Japanese culture. The memory element was reflected in all parts of the project. Visitors could play the memory directly in the exhibition, or take away the catalog, where the individual products were presented in duplicate, and after cutting, it was possible to play at home. The website also included a mini-game, and Pexeso became a source of inspiration for the logo and visual style in general. Last but not least, the exhibits themselves were designed as pairs, such as salt and pepper shakers, bowls and vases, etc. The theme of Tokyo Design Week 2015 was interactivity, which made it possible to approach the topic untraditionally and instead of all kinds of electronic games to prepare an exhibition that presents products in an interactive form that are connected with Czech traditions, materials and production technologies. The Pairs in Squares project was presented with great success at Tokyo Design Week 2015 in Japan, where it won the Grand Prix and Sekisui Corporate Award. In the Czech Republic, the collection of designed products received the Good Student Design award in the National Student Design Award 2017 competition.
