The aim of the diploma thesis was to create an art installation in a public space. It is a work that balances on the edge of architecture, installation and object. The main material element that I experiment with is a dichroic film, which shifts the color in the view into cool or warm tones due to the refraction of light. It thus transforms the view of the atmosphere and the perception of the observed reality. On these properties, an observatory designed by me was created - a gallery that works with a certain view - images transformed by the optical effect of the film. The goal is to be a contemplative experience of the viewer in the atmosphere of the "observatory". The atmosphere changes depending on the function of transparency and the color, which changes at infinite intervals. I supplement the motif of transparent materials such as glass, plexiglass or polycarbonate with protective foils, which, in addition to the reason for protection, have very interesting properties in themselves. It offers a way to create a unique, ever-changing color scheme for many surfaces. Under the action of natural light, a kind of two-color effect is created in this semi-transparent foil. The change in the environment changes the atmosphere, the realization of what is obvious, but it can change quickly due to the passage of time. The color of the view and changes depends on the natural sunlight and thus changes the perception of the surroundings and the atmosphere that the viewer can perceive. Thus, it creates an interactive public installation for the viewer, which will never be the same and always depicts a different reality. These elements try to show the difference between perfect purity and the natural apparent deterioration of the material. I'm looking for an interesting moment, a stretch of time or space, the center of a meeting and a seemingly distant place that can be observed due to the material in the surfaces. How to find a balance between absurd simplicity and display complexity. The motive can be internal or external, depending on the specific case, if the observer is in the immediate vicinity of the vistas, or is located or walks around the installation.
