In my Master´s thesis I dive into the world of Russian folk tales, which I have known since childhood. They are a remarkable phenomenon connected with collective memory and folk history. The choice of the topic of my thesis was due to my interest in the phenomenon of memory. Recently, I have begun to find more and more inspiration in my childhood memories and thoughts about home. The series is, among other things, my homage to my grandmother Marimea's textile collages. So my works refer not only to folk history, but also to the story of my own family. In this way I have connected my personal memory with the collective memory. I chose the format of textile collages because I feel that fabrics preserve people's memories and stories. Like fairy tales, working with textiles is closely connected to folk culture, so the choice of medium is logical.
