The presented project started during Artist in Residence program in Toyama (Japan) in autumn 2017. The project focused on altering the regular citizen’s daily stereotypes and overcoming distance from glass art by becoming the initiators of the first creative step – in this instance, model making out of the paper sheet. Paper folded shapes have a specific aesthetic of capturing a moment of sensitivity and memory, similarly, the rigid glass forms result in a preoccupation with the subject of memory, remembering and forgetting. The process of making and preserving the paper shapes within the material glass becomes a sort of archaeology, which is in itself a kind of a memory practice.
